KinGlyph

Terms of use

The agreement between you and CoLab Automation LLC for using KinGlyph.

Last updated 18 October 2026

The agreement

KinGlyph is a service of CoLab Automation LLC, 2108 N St Ste N, Sacramento, CA 95816, United States. By creating an account or using the service you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use it.

You must be 18 or older to hold an account. The people you help by sticking Glyphs around their home do not need an account and are not asked to agree to anything.

What the service does

You mint Glyphs — stickers carrying a code — print or receive them, and someone sticks them on things around a home. Scanning a Glyph that has no answer sends you a question. You answer with a video, pictures, or both, and every later scan of that sticker shows your answer. Under it are three buttons for saying whether it helped; two of them send you a follow-up question.

KinGlyph is in early testing. Features change, and occasionally break. It is not a medical device, an alarm system, or a way to reach anyone in an emergency — in an emergency, call your local emergency number.

Your account

  • Keep your password to yourself, and turn on a second factor. This account holds photographs taken inside somebody’s home. If you sign in with Google instead, there is no password here to keep — look after the Google account, because it is the way in.
  • You are responsible for what happens under your account.
  • Recovery codes are shown once when you turn on a second factor. Losing both your second factor and your codes means we cannot let you in; write to support@kinglyph.com and we will do what we can, which may be nothing.
  • One account holds one household. Tell us at support@kinglyph.com if you need more than that.

Your content

The videos, pictures and words you and your family put into KinGlyph stay yours. You give us permission to store, process and show them for the purpose of running the service for you — for example, transcoding a video so it plays on an old phone, or writing down what is said in it. That permission ends when the content is deleted.

You are responsible for having the right to upload what you upload, and for the privacy of anyone who appears in it. What arrives with a question is deleted on the schedule in the privacy policy — never later than 90 days.

You may answer a sticker with a YouTube video instead of your own. It stays YouTube’s: YouTube’s terms apply to watching it, YouTube may show an ad before it, and its owner can remove it or make it private at any time. We check each one daily and tell you if it has stopped playing, but we cannot keep it available.

Stickers are physical, and codes are permanent

Each Glyph carries a code that is never reused. Anyone holding a sticker, or a clear photo of it, can scan it: a sticker is unguessable, not secret. A sticker’s page shows the answer, or a note that a question was sent, and never shows what anybody sent.

If a sticker starts collecting unwanted questions, you can switch questions off for it, or archive it, from the app. Codes cannot be changed on a sticker that is already printed.

Glyphs are for a home

Glyphs are for use inside a private home only — one that you, or the person you set them up for, owns or rents. Do not put a Glyph anywhere else: not in a shop, an office, a care home’s shared rooms, a street, a vehicle you do not own, or any other place that is public or belongs to somebody else.

Everybody who scans a Glyph can send a question to whoever set it up, and a sticker in a public place invites questions from strangers and puts your household’s answers in front of them. If a Glyph ends up somewhere it should not be, switch its questions off or archive it from the app, and take the sticker down. You are responsible for where your Glyphs are stuck, and for any damage a sticker causes to a surface when it comes off.

What you may not do

  • Break the law, or help anyone else to.
  • Upload anything you have no right to upload, or anything that shows someone who has not agreed to be shown.
  • Use KinGlyph to harass, deceive or monitor anybody without their knowledge.
  • Try to reach households other than your own, break the sign-in, or hammer the service with automated requests.
  • Resell the service, or the stickers, as your own.
  • Put a Glyph anywhere other than a private home you or the person you set it up for owns or rents.

We may suspend or close an account that does these things, and will say why when we can.

Plans, Boosters and payment

A new account starts on the free tier, which holds 3 Glyphs and 5 minutes of stored answer video — enough to answer a few real things and see whether this works for your family. It costs nothing and needs no card.

Paid plans are Core (30 Glyphs and 120 minutes, $8.99 a month or $89.90 a year) and Family (60 Glyphs and 240 minutes, $15.99 a month or $159.90 a year). A Booster adds 30 Glyphs and two hours for $7.99 a month or $79.90 a year. Prices are in US dollars, and sales tax is added where it applies.

A paid plan renews automatically every month or year, on the card you gave, until you cancel. Payment is taken by Stripe; we never see or store the card number. You can cancel at any time in Settings, under Billing, and the plan stays on until the end of the period already paid for. We do not refund part of a period, but if something has gone wrong, write to us and we will put it right.

The free trial lasts 30 days, once per home. It needs a card, nothing is charged during it, and the first charge is on the day it ends unless you cancel before then. Stripe emails you a reminder before that day.

Changing plan, or adding or removing a Booster, charges or credits the difference for the rest of the period straight away. A promotion code from us lowers the price for as long as the code says; we may stop offering a code, but not take back one already applied.

If a payment stops — a card expires, or a plan is cancelled — every answer keeps playing for 90 days, and we email you each week of it saying what stops and when. After that the home moves to the free tier: its lowest-numbered Glyphs keep playing, up to the free tier’s number, and the rest say they are not in use. Nothing is deleted, and starting a plan again brings every one of them back.

Both limits are real, and the app tells you as you approach them. Video is measured because storing it costs us every month it sits there; replacing a video frees its minutes once the replaced copy expires. If you reach a limit, nothing already answered stops working — you cannot add more until something is removed or the tier changes.

Printed Glyph packs are not sold yet. When they are, what a pack contains and what happens if one arrives damaged will be shown before you are asked to pay, and these terms will be updated first.

Referring a friend

Your account has a referral link and code. Someone who signs up with it gets a 60-day free trial on their first paid plan, instead of 30. When they make their first payment, your account is credited with one month of your plan. The credit comes off future charges, is not cash, cannot be transferred, and ends with the account. You can earn at most 6 months this way.

Referring yourself, or accounts made only to earn credit, does not count, and we may remove credit gained that way. We may change or end the referral program; credit already earned stays on your account.

Availability, and what we do not promise

The service is provided as is. We do not promise it will always be available, that a video will always play, that a transcript will be accurate, or that a notification will always arrive. Videos are written down automatically and the words are often wrong until you correct them.

Keep your own copies of anything that matters. KinGlyph is not a backup service, and files sent with questions are deleted on purpose.

Limits on responsibility

To the extent the law allows, CoLab Automation LLC is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses, lost data, or anything that happens because an answer was wrong, late or missing. Our total responsibility to you for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before it arose, or 100 US dollars if that is greater.

Some places do not allow these limits, in which case they apply to you only as far as the law allows. Nothing here limits responsibility for fraud, or for anything that cannot lawfully be limited.

Ending it

You may stop using KinGlyph at any time. You can delete your account yourself in Settings, or ask at support@kinglyph.com. A deletion from Settings happens 14 days later: until then the stickers keep working and signing back in lets you keep the account, and any subscription stops renewing at once. After that everything you stored is deleted and each sticker says it is no longer in use. We may end an account that breaks these terms, or stop offering the service, and will give reasonable notice and a way to get your content out unless the law prevents it.

Which law applies

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes belong to the state or federal courts serving Sacramento County, California, and both of us agree to those courts. If you are a consumer outside the United States, this does not take away rights your local law gives you.

Changes, and how to reach us

If these terms change in a way that matters, account holders are told by email before it takes effect; carrying on using KinGlyph afterwards means accepting the new version. The date at the top says when they last changed.
